The quarter-final fixtures for the 2026/2027 Carabao Cup have been confirmed, with holders Manchester City set to face Bradford City and Liverpool drawn against Bournemouth.

The draw, announced on Wednesday, October 28, features four ties scheduled for the week commencing December 14.

The full quarter-final draw is:

  • Fleetwood Town vs Everton or Newcastle United
  • Manchester City vs Bradford City
  • Crystal Palace vs Sunderland
  • Liverpool vs Bournemouth

Fleetwood Town earned a place in the last eight after eliminating Arsenal in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw. The result was one of the biggest surprises of the fourth round, sending the League Two side into the quarter-finals.

Manchester City advanced after defeating Brighton & Hove Albion on penalties, while Liverpool overcame Chelsea in another shootout at Anfield. Bournemouth secured qualification with a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace and Sunderland also progressed after defeating Fulham and Brentford respectively.

Fleetwood Town’s quarter-final opponent will be determined by Thursday’s match between Everton and Newcastle United.

The quarter-finals will be played as single-leg knockout matches, with the winners advancing to the semi-finals, scheduled across two legs in January and February 2027. The final is set for March 21, 2027, at Wembley Stadium.

The draw offers lower-league sides Fleetwood Town and Bradford City opportunities to test themselves against established Premier League opposition, while the remaining clubs will compete for a place in the semi-finals and a chance to win one of English football’s major domestic cup competition.
