2027: Nweke Urges Enugu East Voters to Elect Accessible Leaders

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senatorial candidate for Enugu East, Nweke Kingsley Chizoba, has urged voters in the district to prioritise accessibility, accountability and effective representation when choosing their leaders in the 2027 elections.

Nweke made the appeal as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum in Enugu East, with aspirants and political groups increasingly engaging residents and grassroots stakeholders.

He said leadership should be measured by the ability of elected representatives to remain connected to the people and respond to the challenges affecting their communities.

According to him, political office should not create a barrier between representatives and the people who elected them. He argued that constituents should be able to reach their representatives, present their concerns and receive feedback on issues affecting their communities.

Nweke also emphasised the importance of accountability in public office, urging voters to examine the records, character and capacity of candidates before casting their ballots.

He said the 2027 elections provide an opportunity for residents to demand leaders who understand the needs of the district and are prepared to work consistently for its development.
