The Federal Government has announced the dates and venues for a passport intervention exercise for Nigerians living in the United Kingdom.

The exercise, being conducted by the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, will take place in London, Manchester, Aberdeen and Cardiff as part of efforts to address pending passport applications and improve service delivery to Nigerians in the diaspora.

According to a public announcement signed by the NIS Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, the London and Manchester exercises will run from September 7 to 19, 2026, while the intervention team will move to Aberdeen and Cardiff from September 21 to 26.

The London exercise will be held at Layali Lounge, Trent Park, Bramley Road, London, while the Manchester exercise will take place at Nigerian House, 23 Platt Lane, Manchester.

The Aberdeen intervention will be held at Hilton Convention Centre, 13 Smithfield Road, Aberdeen, while the Cardiff exercise will take place at Sophia Gardens, Sophia Walk, Cardiff.

The NIS urged eligible Nigerians in the four cities and surrounding areas to take advantage of the exercise to apply for new passports, renew existing ones or resolve pending applications.

Applicants are required to complete their applications and make payment through the NIS Passport Application portal before visiting their preferred venue. They must also present their completed application forms, payment slips, appointment slips and a self addressed return envelope.

Those applying for passport renewal are required to present their current passports.

The Service warned that applicants who arrive with cash will not be attended to, stressing that all required payments must be completed through the approved application process.
