GodMade Homes Limited, popularly known as GMH Luxury, is set to deepen conversations around long term wealth creation and preservation through real estate at its upcoming Real Estate Conference 2026, Edo State Edition.

The three day event, scheduled for September 24 to 26 in Benin City, will focus on the theme, “Wealth Preservation Using Real Estate as a Vehicle,” with discussions centred on how property investments can generate income, appreciate in value and remain valuable across several generations.

The conference is expected to examine why some properties continue to create wealth decades after they are acquired, while others are sold or lose their value within a generation.

According to the organisers, the objective is to encourage investors to look beyond simply owning property and instead consider real estate as a long term legacy asset capable of supporting families for generations.

A major focus of the discussions will be the importance of location in determining the long term value of property. The organisers are expected to examine established locations such as Maitama, Banana Island and Victoria Island, alongside other emerging areas with strong development prospects and sustained demand.

Speaking ahead of the conference, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GMH Luxury, Ayoolanrewaju Kuyebi, said wealth creation was only one part of the investment process.

He stressed that preserving wealth required deliberate planning and strategic decisions, particularly when property was expected to serve future generations.

Kuyebi said investors needed to consider not only what type of property to acquire but also where to invest, noting that strategic locations could help sustain rental income and capital appreciation over time.

The conference will bring together professionals from government, investment management, wealth management and the wider business community.

Among the expected speakers are the Edo State Commissioner for Finance, Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor; Managing Director of Meristem Trustees, Damilola Hassan; Managing Director of Pathway Asset Management, Kayode Olarinde; Managing Director of Coinage Group, Biodun Oke; and Managing Director of Akin Opatola Consulting, Akin Opatola.

Discussions will cover areas including property portfolio structuring, identifying strategic investment locations, maximising rental income, protecting asset value and achieving capital appreciation.

The organisers also plan to hold a private property viewing as part of the three day programme, giving invited participants an opportunity to inspect selected properties within GMH Luxury’s portfolio and assess potential investment opportunities.

The event comes against the backdrop of growing interest in real estate as a hedge against inflation and a store of value in Nigeria, where investors often look to property as a means of preserving purchasing power and building family wealth.

For GMH Luxury, the broader objective is to shift the conversation from property acquisition to wealth preservation, with greater emphasis on assets that can continue to generate financial value long after the original investor is gone.

The company believes carefully selected real estate, supported by strong locations and sound investment structures, can provide a pathway for families seeking to transfer wealth from one generation to another.

Participation in the Edo State conference will be by invitation, with the organisers positioning the gathering as an opportunity for investors, professionals and policymakers to exchange ideas on building sustainable property wealth.

The conference is expected to further highlight the role of strategic real estate investment in creating assets that can provide income, appreciate over time and remain part of a family’s financial foundation for generations.
