Peter Obi has criticised the government’s handling of insecurity in Zamfara and Niger states, saying he would not remain in Abuja while communities in the affected states continue to suffer.
The former Anambra State governor stressed the need for political leaders to be present on the ground and respond directly to security challenges facing citizens.
Obi called for stronger action to protect lives and property, arguing that leadership should prioritise the safety and welfare of Nigerians.
His remarks come amid renewed concerns over insecurity and the impact of attacks on communities in parts of northern Nigeria.
