The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has withdrawn its petition challenging the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke at the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

The opposition party withdrew the case on Wednesday, bringing an end to its legal challenge against the outcome of the governorship election.

The withdrawal means the tribunal will no longer proceed with the APC’s petition seeking to contest the declaration of Governor Adeleke as the winner of the election.

The development marks a significant turn in the political and legal proceedings surrounding the Osun State governorship election, with the APC opting to discontinue its challenge before the tribunal.
