Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of six commissioners-designate and four political aides as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The appointments were announced by the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Abubakar Usman, in a statement issued on Monday.
The six commissioners-designate are Lucky Barau from Gurara Local Government Area, Isah Wakili from Bosso, Dr Isah Adamu from Kontagora, Emmanuel Alamu from Magama, Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji from Mashegu, and Mohammed Danladi Garba from Borgu.
The governor also appointed Nma Kolo as Chief Political Adviser.
Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were appointed as Special Advisers on Political Matters for Zones A, B and C respectively.
The state government said the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and ensuring broader representation across Niger State.
The commissioners-designate are expected to appear before the Niger State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in accordance with the law.
Governor Bago congratulated the appointees and urged them to demonstrate commitment, integrity and dedication in serving the people of the state.
