Lawal Appoints Shehu Baraya as Zamfara Head of Service

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the appointment of Shehu Baraya as the new Head of Service of the state.

Baraya succeeds Yakubu Sani Haidara, who recently retired from the state civil service. The appointment, announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, takes immediate effect.

Until his appointment, Baraya served as Permanent Secretary of the Zamfara State Civil Service Commission. He had also served as Permanent Secretary in several ministries during his career.

Governor Lawal commended the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions to the development of the state civil service and wished him a fulfilling retirement.

The governor charged Baraya to use his experience to strengthen professionalism and discipline, improve productivity and enhance efficiency across the state civil service in line with the administration’s Rescue Agenda.
