Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says efforts are ongoing to reconcile APC members who lost in the party’s primary elections as part of measures to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Fintiri stated this at an APC stakeholders’ meeting held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yola, where he called for unity and cooperation among party members.
The Governor said the affected aspirants remain important to the party, urging them to put personal differences aside and work together to build a stronger political structure across Adamawa State.
He also appealed to former councillors, political leaders and other stakeholders to support the party’s reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation efforts, stressing that the APC must approach the 2027 elections as one united family.
Earlier, APC State Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Bello Madagali, assured members of fairness and equal treatment, while urging aggrieved members to bury their differences and support the party.
Former Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, who recently returned to the APC, commended Governor Fintiri’s development efforts and urged the party leadership to intensify grassroots mobilisation and unity across the state.
The APC North East Vice Chairman, Barrister Idris Shuaibu, said the party’s structures from the national level to the local government areas were committed to working together to secure victory in 2027.
