The House of Representatives has summoned the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, as part of its ongoing investigation into allegations surrounding the Police Families and Integrated Services Council (PFIPC).

The development follows the Federal Ministry’s declaration that it has no affiliation with the council, distancing itself from its activities amid growing public scrutiny.

Lawmakers are seeking clarification on the council’s legal status, operations, and alleged involvement in matters affecting public institutions. The investigation is expected to determine whether the organisation operated with official authorisation and whether due process was followed in its activities.

The committee also intends to examine the roles of individuals and agencies linked to the council as part of efforts to ensure transparency and accountability.

The House reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a thorough investigation and assured Nigerians that anyone found to have violated the law would be held accountable in accordance with due process.

The probe is expected to continue in the coming weeks as the committee receives submissions from relevant government agencies and stakeholders.
