Maiduguri – Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested six suspected terrorist logistics suppliers allegedly transporting a large consignment of materials intended for insurgents operating in Nigeria’s North-East.
The suspects were apprehended during a military operation aimed at disrupting terrorist supply networks in the region. According to military sources, the suspects were intercepted while conveying the items in five vehicles believed to be destined for terrorist camps.
Items recovered during the operation included a Starlink satellite internet device, mobile phones, sewing machines, clothing materials, food items, lubricants, cash, and other supplies suspected to be meant for terrorist elements. Security operatives also seized the vehicles used in transporting the materials.
Military authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle logistics and financial networks that sustain terrorist activities across the North-East. The suspects are currently in military custody and are undergoing preliminary investigation.
Operation Hadin Kai has intensified counter-insurgency operations in recent months, targeting not only armed fighters but also individuals suspected of providing logistics, financing, and other forms of support to terrorist groups operating in the region.
The military stated that investigations are continuing to identify other members of the alleged supply network and ensure they are brought to justice. The allegations against the suspects have not yet been tested in court.
