Sen. Shuaibu Isa Lau Donates N10 Million for Renovation of First Referral Hospital in Taraba

Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau has donated N10 million to the Taraba State Health Services Management Board to support the renovation of the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Ward and Theatre at the First Referral Hospital in Lau Local Government Area.

The donation is aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure and enhancing the delivery of maternal and child health services at the facility.

Officials described the intervention as a significant boost to ongoing efforts to upgrade the hospital and improve access to quality healthcare for residents of Lau and surrounding communities.

The renovation of the MNCH ward and theatre is expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide safer and more efficient medical services, particularly for women and children.

The donation has been welcomed by stakeholders, who expressed appreciation for the senator’s support and voiced optimism that it would pave the way for further investments in the state’s healthcare sector.
