The Bayelsa State Government has commenced the demolition of structures considered illegal and obstructive along roads across the state.

The exercise is aimed at clearing road corridors, improving traffic flow and enhancing the safety and appearance of public spaces.

Officials said the affected structures were removed as part of efforts to enforce planning regulations and prevent encroachment on government roads and right-of-way areas.

The government has urged residents and property owners to comply with approved planning guidelines and avoid constructing structures on road corridors.
