FG Completes 3MW Solar Mini-Grid at UniAbuja as Tegbe Applauds Project
The Federal Government has completed a 3MW solar mini-grid project at the University of Abuja (UniAbuja), as part of efforts to improve electricity supply at the institution.
Minister of State for Finance, Akinola Tegbe, has reacted to the development, describing the project as a significant step towards providing reliable and sustainable electricity for the university community.
The solar facility is expected to support the university’s power needs while reducing its dependence on conventional sources of electricity.
The project also forms part of broader efforts to expand renewable energy infrastructure in public institutions and promote cleaner and more affordable power solutions.
Tegbe said investments in renewable energy would help strengthen public institutions and contribute to efforts to address Nigeria’s electricity challenges.
The completion of the mini-grid is expected to improve power availability for students, staff and other members of the university community.
