2027 Eligibility Suit: Court Allows Atiku to Serve Tinubu Through APC

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted former Vice President Atiku Abubakar permission to serve President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with court papers through his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a suit challenging Tinubu’s eligibility to contest the 2027 presidential election.

Justice Inyang Ekwo granted the order for substituted service, directing that the legal documents be served on Tinubu through the APC.

The suit seeks to challenge Tinubu’s eligibility based on allegations relating to an NYSC discharge certificate allegedly submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The allegations remain part of an ongoing legal case and have not been established as facts by the court.

The latest ruling addresses the method of serving the court documents and allows the legal proceedings to continue.

The case is expected to return to court as the parties proceed with the legal process.
