The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has expressed concern over the deteriorating state of Nigeria’s Primary Healthcare Centres, PHCs, across the country.

Obi said the condition of the nation’s primary healthcare system remained a major concern, particularly given its importance in providing basic and affordable medical services to Nigerians.

He stressed the need for greater attention and investment in primary healthcare infrastructure, personnel and essential services to improve access to quality healthcare and strengthen the country’s health system.
