Tyson Fury has indicated that his boxing career could continue beyond his highly anticipated showdown with Anthony Joshua, revealing that he still has two fights remaining on his current contract.

The former heavyweight champion made the disclosure ahead of the December 11 clash against Joshua at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, a contest widely regarded as one of the biggest fights in British boxing.

Speaking to IFL TV, Fury said he intends to fulfil his existing contractual obligations before potentially signing another deal, depending on the financial rewards and demands involved.

“I’m going to continue. I’ve got two fights left on my contract. I’ll finish the contract off and then probably sign another 10-fight deal,” Fury said.

The 38-year-old added that he would consider extending his career if the financial terms were attractive, although he acknowledged that age would influence how quickly he takes on future opponents.

Fury’s comments come after he previously announced his retirement following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, renewing questions about whether the British fighter is approaching the end of his professional career.

Beyond Joshua, Daniel Dubois has emerged as a potential opponent for Fury following his victory over Fabio Wardley at London’s O2 Arena on October 17.

Meanwhile, UFC and Zuffa Boxing chief Dana White has estimated that the Fury-Joshua event could generate approximately $34 million in ticket revenue.

White said more than 500,000 people had reportedly queued on Ticketmaster, highlighting the enormous interest surrounding the all-British heavyweight contest.

If confirmed, the projected gate would rank among the highest in boxing history, although it would remain below the reported figures for Floyd Mayweather Jr. versus Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather versus Conor McGregor.

With Fury signalling a willingness to continue fighting beyond his Joshua encounter, the December showdown could represent another major milestone rather than the final chapter of his boxing career.
