Elon Musk’s X Corp and SpaceXAI have resolved their antitrust lawsuit against Apple, ending a major legal dispute over competition in the smartphone and artificial intelligence markets.

The companies accused Apple of unlawfully favoring OpenAI’s ChatGPT by integrating the chatbot into Apple Intelligence features on iPhones and other devices, allegedly limiting opportunities for competing AI services. Apple and OpenAI denied wrongdoing.

In a court filing in Texas, X Corp and SpaceXAI moved to dismiss their claims against Apple. The filing did not explain the reason for the dismissal or confirm whether a settlement had been reached.

The broader legal battle is not completely over. Musk’s companies said they intend to continue pursuing their claims against OpenAI, which was also named as a defendant in the original lawsuit.
