Questions are being raised over the collapse of a three storey commercial building in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, shortly after the structure was sealed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The incident has triggered concerns about the building’s structural condition and the circumstances surrounding its collapse after enforcement officials had taken action against the property.
Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and determine what caused the structure to fail, as well as whether the building complied with approved construction and safety requirements.
The collapse has also renewed calls for stricter monitoring of construction activities and stronger enforcement of building regulations across the Federal Capital Territory.
