A Gombe State indigene, Maryam Ibrahim Dan’azumi, has emerged as the winner of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Qur’anic Competition held in Saudi Arabia.
Dan’azumi reportedly clinched the top prize at the prestigious international competition, earning a reward valued at approximately N107.8 million.
Her victory has brought recognition to Gombe State and Nigeria, highlighting her achievement in Qur’anic memorisation and recitation on the international stage.
The King Abdulaziz International Qur’anic Competition is one of the major Qur’anic competitions organised in Saudi Arabia, attracting participants from different countries.
Dan’azumi’s achievement has been widely celebrated as a significant accomplishment for her family, community and the state.
