Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, and Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, are set to headline the 7th Africa Emerging Markets Forum in Abuja, where they will discuss strategies for strengthening Africa’s economic resilience amid growing global economic uncertainty.

The two-day forum, scheduled for July 29 and 30 at the Central Bank of Nigeria headquarters, is being organised by the CBN in partnership with the Emerging Markets Forum and the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa. The event is themed “Building Resilience Amidst Geoeconomic Uncertainties.”

A major highlight of the conference will be a high-level fireside dialogue between Cardoso and Okonjo-Iweala. Policymakers, central bankers, economists, development partners, and private sector leaders from across Africa are expected to examine ways to sustain economic reforms, deepen regional integration, attract investment, and promote long-term growth despite global economic challenges.
