President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a 400-kilometre extension of the ongoing Akwanga–Maiduguri Superhighway into Taraba State, expanding the project from 700 km to approximately 1,100 km.

This landmark expansion is expected to improve connectivity, facilitate trade, stimulate economic growth, and enhance transportation across Taraba and the North-East, bringing more communities into the national road network.

A significant step toward improved infrastructure and regional development.
