China’s Growing Role in Global Governance Draws International Attention

China’s expanding influence in global governance continues to attract widespread attention as policymakers, scholars and international observers assess the country’s evolving role in shaping international institutions and addressing global challenges.

Over the past two decades, China has emerged as a major force in global affairs, increasing its participation in multilateral organisations and promoting initiatives aimed at strengthening international cooperation in areas such as trade, infrastructure development, climate change, public health and peacekeeping.

Observers believe that effective global governance will increasingly depend on constructive engagement between China and other major powers, with cooperation seen as essential to tackling complex transnational challenges that no single country can address alone.
