Lee Group of Companies Ltd is developing a $1.8 billion industrial park in Ogun State, with plans to accommodate more than 29 manufacturing factories and generate over 2,500 direct and indirect jobs.

The 450-hectare Lee Group First Industrial Park is located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, spanning parts of Sagamu and Obafemi-Owode Local Government Areas.

The project is designed to accommodate businesses operating in several manufacturing sectors, including soap and detergent production, footwear manufacturing, food processing, cosmetics, PVC leather production, mould manufacturing, recycling and export-oriented industries.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is expected to perform the groundbreaking ceremony on November 12, 2026. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Minister of Trade and Investment, business leaders, traditional rulers and members of the diplomatic community are also expected to attend.

The development is projected to have a gross development value of $3 billion, according to information provided by the developers.

Among the businesses expected to operate within the industrial park is Aspira Products Stand, a subsidiary of Lee Group, which plans to establish its West African regional office at the facility.

The industrial park will also feature administrative offices, residential facilities, power and utility stations, banks, shopping malls, showrooms, bonded warehouses, truck parking areas, conference centres and recreational facilities.

Its location near the Sagamu Interchange is expected to provide businesses with access to major transportation networks, markets and distribution channels.

The project is expected to attract domestic and foreign investment, expand Nigeria’s manufacturing capacity and stimulate economic activities in surrounding communities through increased demand for logistics, transportation, accommodation and other supporting services.

With more than 29 factories planned, the development could provide employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers while creating new opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to supply goods and services to businesses operating within the park.

The project is expected to strengthen Ogun State’s industrial base and contribute to broader efforts to promote manufacturing, investment and economic diversification in Nigeria.
