Kia has unveiled the PV7, its second dedicated all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV), expanding its electric commercial vehicle range with greater cargo capacity, flexible configurations and technology aimed at business users.
Unveiled at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany, the PV7 will be available in Cargo and Passenger versions. The Cargo model offers up to 8.0 cubic metres of loading space and a payload capacity of up to 1,200kg, while the Passenger version can accommodate as many as nine occupants.
The vehicle is built on Kia’s dedicated E-GMP.S architecture and uses an 800-volt charging system. Depending on configuration, it can deliver up to 200kW of power and 420Nm of torque, while the long-range Cargo version can travel up to about 460 kilometres under WLTP testing conditions.
Kia said the PV7 is designed for logistics, fleet operations, shuttle services and small and medium-sized businesses. Its flat-floor design and flexible body system allow different configurations and conversion options to meet specific commercial needs.
The automaker plans to launch the PV7 in South Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027, with additional markets and derivatives expected to follow. The company also plans to expand the PV7 range to 23 variants.
The model strengthens Kia’s push into the growing electric light commercial vehicle market, where businesses are increasingly seeking lower-emission transport solutions without sacrificing cargo capacity and operational flexibility.
