The Federal Government has adopted a new system aimed at reducing waste and improving efficiency in healthcare spending across the country.

The initiative is designed to strengthen accountability, improve the management of health resources and ensure that available funds are used effectively to deliver better services to Nigerians.

Government officials said the new system would help identify areas of unnecessary spending while promoting greater transparency in the healthcare sector.

The move is also expected to improve planning and resource allocation, allowing healthcare institutions to make better use of limited funds and prioritise essential services.

The Federal Government said efforts to strengthen financial management in the health sector would remain part of its broader strategy to improve healthcare delivery and achieve better outcomes for citizens.
