Jurgen Klopp is still waiting for his first victory as Germany head coach after Greece stunned his side with a 1-0 defeat in their UEFA Nations League clash in Augsburg on Sunday.

Dimitris Kourbelis scored the only goal of the encounter, giving Greece their first-ever win over Germany in their 11th meeting.

The result leaves Germany without a victory from their opening two matches of the 2026/27 Nations League campaign. Klopp’s side had begun the competition with a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands.

While Germany struggled, Portugal maintained their perfect start with a 2-1 victory over Norway in Oslo.

Joao Felix gave Portugal the lead in the 17th minute before Norway captain Erling Haaland levelled shortly after half-time.

Goncalo Ramos restored Portugal’s advantage after pouncing on a misplaced pass from goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, with the visitors holding on to claim maximum points.

Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa had earlier produced two important saves to deny Haaland, while Rafael Leao struck the crossbar as Portugal continued to threaten.

In Belgrade, the Netherlands secured a 2-1 victory over Serbia, with Mexx Meerdink scoring twice. The forward opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Luka Jovic equalised, but Meerdink completed his brace with a low finish to settle the contest.

Denmark also picked up their first points by defeating Wales 2-0 at Parken. Ben Davies turned Mikkel Damsgaard’s cross into his own net before Gustav Isaksen doubled the advantage through a deflection off the crossbar.

Austria preserved their perfect start in League B after beating Kosovo 3-1, while the Republic of Ireland responded to their opening defeat by defeating Israel 3-0.

Troy Parrott, Adam Idah and Jack Moylan all scored in the first half for Ireland.

In League D, Gibraltar and Andorra played out a goalless draw, while Lithuania and Azerbaijan shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

The remaining Matchday 2 fixtures include Belgium vs France, Türkiye vs Italy, Czechia vs England and Spain vs Croatia.
