Gabon plans to raise about $2.01 billion from international markets in 2027 to help finance its proposed budget, as the government anticipates stronger economic growth and increased oil production.

The draft budget, approved by the cabinet and awaiting parliamentary approval, projects total state resources and spending of 6.223 trillion CFA francs, an increase of 727.9 billion CFA francs from the revised 2026 budget.

The government expects the economy to grow by 4.5% in 2027, compared with 4% this year, while oil production is projected to rise 4.1% to 11.3 million tonnes.

Gabon also plans to secure funding from domestic and regional markets, bank borrowing and budget support. However, debt servicing costs are expected to rise significantly to 667.3 billion CFA francs, while debt repayments are projected at 1.88 trillion CFA francs.
