Ukraine’s largest telecommunications operator, Kyivstar, has raised its full-year 2026 financial outlook following strong third-quarter results, driven by growing demand for mobile services and rapid expansion in its digital business.
The company now expects revenue growth of 15% to 17% in US dollar terms, up from its previous forecast of 14% to 16%.
For the third quarter, Kyivstar reported revenue of $349 million, representing a 17.5% increase compared with the same period last year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 10.3% to $189 million.
Digital Business Drives Growth
Kyivstar’s digital operations recorded particularly strong performance, with revenue increasing 68.9% year-on-year to $76 million.
Digital services now contribute 21.7% of the company’s total revenue, reflecting its growing presence beyond traditional telecommunications.
Its digital portfolio includes ride-hailing, healthcare, online pharmacy services, television and cloud solutions for businesses.
Continued Investment in Network Infrastructure
Despite the challenges posed by Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, Kyivstar continues to invest in its telecommunications infrastructure and digital capabilities.
The company has also completed the gradual shutdown of its 3G network, allowing it to focus more resources on newer network technologies and improve connectivity for customers.
Kyivstar’s latest results highlight the growing role of digital services in the telecommunications industry, as operators diversify into cloud computing, healthcare and other technology-driven businesses.
