Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Chile international Darío Osorio from Danish club FC Midtjylland on a season long loan.
The Premier League club confirmed the move on deadline day, bringing the 22 year old winger to South London after his impressive spell in Denmark.
Osorio joins Palace with an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. Reports indicate that the loan includes a fee of around €2 million, while the potential permanent transfer could reach €30 million including add ons.
The Chilean attacker arrives in England after establishing himself as one of Midtjylland’s key players. He made 121 competitive appearances for the Danish side, scoring 25 goals and providing 18 assists during his time at the club.
Osorio began his professional career with Universidad de Chile before moving to Midtjylland in 2023. During his time in Denmark, he helped the club win both the Danish Superliga and Danish Cup.
His performances attracted interest from several clubs, but Palace moved late in the transfer window to secure his services after missing out on other attacking targets.
The winger is expected to add pace, creativity and attacking versatility to Palace’s squad as manager Pierre Sage continues to strengthen his options.
Osorio has also established himself at international level with Chile and will now have the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.
Speaking after completing the move, Osorio described playing in the Premier League as a childhood dream and expressed his excitement about beginning a new chapter with Palace.
The move gives Palace another attacking option as the club looks to build on recent success and compete strongly across domestic and European competitions.
