Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commended the Department of State Services, DSS, and other security agencies for rescuing a kidnapped victim and arresting three suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate in the state.
The DSS operation reportedly led to the arrest of one suspect at a criminal hideout in Atabula, Duduguru, in the Jenkwe Development Area, while two others were tracked to a hotel in Lafia.
Security operatives also destroyed the kidnappers’ makeshift camp and recovered cash, five mobile phones and other items believed to be connected to their activities.
Sule described the operation as a demonstration of the commitment and effectiveness of the security agencies in tackling kidnapping and other forms of criminality in the state.
The governor urged the security agencies to sustain the momentum and remain resolute in protecting residents. He also assured them of his administration’s continued support in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Sule further appealed to residents to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with timely and credible information, stressing that cooperation between citizens and security operatives is essential to maintaining peace in Nasarawa State.
