An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Oyo State has said efforts are underway to reconcile aggrieved members of the party, stressing that unity and inclusiveness remain essential to strengthening the APC ahead of future political contests.

The aspirant explained that the reconciliation initiative is designed to bridge internal divisions, foster dialogue and restore confidence among party members who may have felt sidelined during previous political processes. He noted that a united party would be better positioned to pursue its objectives and effectively engage with the electorate.

According to the governorship hopeful, the reconciliation process involves consultations with party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members across the state to address grievances and promote mutual understanding. He maintained that the exercise is not intended to favour any individual or faction but to ensure that every member has a sense of belonging within the party.

He also urged APC members to put aside personal differences and work collectively for the progress of the party, emphasizing that internal cohesion is crucial to achieving electoral success and delivering effective leadership.

The remarks come amid ongoing political realignments and consultations within the Oyo State chapter of the APC as aspirants and party stakeholders intensify preparations for future elections. Political observers believe that sustained reconciliation efforts could help strengthen the party’s internal structure and improve its chances in upcoming polls.

Party supporters have welcomed the move, expressing hope that meaningful dialogue and compromise will help resolve lingering disputes and foster a more united and formidable APC in Oyo State.
