The President of Rotary in Abuja has called on Nigerians to reject cynicism and embrace active citizenship as a pathway to building a stronger, more responsible, and united society.

Speaking during a recent engagement, the Rotary leader encouraged citizens to move beyond criticism and actively contribute to national development through community service, ethical leadership, and collective responsibility.

He stressed that meaningful progress requires the participation of individuals, organisations, and communities working together to address social challenges and promote positive change.

According to him, citizens have an important role to play in strengthening trust, supporting humanitarian initiatives, and creating solutions that improve the lives of people across the country.

The Rotary President urged Nigerians, especially young people, to embrace the values of integrity, service, and accountability, noting that sustainable development depends on active involvement from every sector of society.

He reaffirmed Rotary’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, healthcare, peace-building, and community empowerment while encouraging Nigerians to become active partners in shaping the future of the nation.
