According to a report by The Guardian, the announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Protocol and Public Relations of the commission, Mr. Torty Njoku Kalu.
The commission said the release followed the successful completion of a comprehensive, inclusive, equitable and transparent recruitment exercise conducted in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, state Career and Counselling Departments and the Police Community Relations Committee.
The PSC advised candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination to log on to the official recruitment portal to check their application status.
The commission stated that the recruitment portal became accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
It added that successful candidates would also receive notifications through the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during the application process.
According to the statement, shortlisted candidates are expected to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates and times that will be communicated later for medical examination and documentation.
The commission urged all applicants to regularly monitor the recruitment portal and their communication channels for further updates on the next stage of the recruitment process.
