Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the appointment of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, as Adamawa State’s representative on the Board of Trustees of the Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund.

The appointment takes immediate effect and was announced in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.

Governor Fintiri said the appointment reflects his administration’s commitment to strengthening the region’s security framework and ensuring that Adamawa State plays an active role in shaping policies and initiatives aimed at improving safety across Northern Nigeria.

He explained that the Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund, established by the Northern Governors’ Forum, serves as a collaborative platform to support conventional security agencies in addressing emerging security challenges. The Fund focuses on enhancing intelligence sharing, providing operational logistics, promoting inter-state cooperation, and supporting community-based security initiatives across the 19 northern states.

Describing Boss Mustapha as an accomplished administrator and respected statesman, Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in his ability to effectively represent the interests of Adamawa State on the Board.

“His vast experience in public service, exceptional leadership qualities, and national standing make Boss Mustapha eminently qualified for this important responsibility. I am confident that he will contribute significantly to advancing the objectives of the Trust Fund and strengthening regional security,” the governor stated.
