The Taraba State Government has intensified monitoring of public schools across the state, warning teachers against absenteeism, lateness and acts of insubordination.

The government said the monitoring exercise is aimed at improving discipline, accountability and the quality of teaching in public schools.

Education officials are expected to conduct regular visits to schools to assess teachers’ attendance, punctuality and commitment to their duties, while ensuring that students receive the required instructional time.

The government also cautioned teachers and other education workers against violating official directives, stressing the importance of professionalism and discipline in the education sector.

Authorities said teachers found absent from duty without approval or engaging in acts of insubordination could face appropriate disciplinary measures in line with existing regulations.

The monitoring initiative is part of broader efforts by the state government to strengthen the education system and improve learning outcomes for students across Taraba State.
