The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has strengthened its commitment to improving the welfare of teachers in Bayelsa State through the provision of staff quarters aimed at addressing accommodation challenges and creating a more conducive working environment for educators.
Speaking by The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke he said, the initiative is expected to provide teachers with decent and accessible accommodation, particularly those serving in communities where securing affordable housing remains a major challenge.
The provision of the quarters is also expected to enhance teachers’ commitment to duty by reducing the pressure associated with high accommodation costs and long-distance commuting.
Access to suitable accommodation remains an important aspect of workers’ welfare, especially for personnel deployed to locations where housing infrastructure is limited. For teachers, improved living conditions can contribute to greater job satisfaction, punctuality and stability, ultimately supporting effective teaching and learning.
