Europe is confronting growing concerns over fertiliser supplies following disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime route for global energy and fertiliser exports. Fertiliser are among the largest input expenses for many farms, and sustained price increases could reduce application rates, potentially affecting crop yields and pushing food prices higher for consumers on food prices
