Kylian Mbappé has joined an exclusive group of footballers who scored on their 100th UEFA Champions League appearance, marking the milestone with a goal for Real Madrid against AS Roma on Wednesday.
The French forward also became the youngest player to reach 100 appearances in the competition, achieving the feat at 27 years and 298 days old.
Mbappé surpassed Lionel Messi’s previous record of 28 years and 84 days, set when Barcelona faced Roma on September 16, 2015.
The Real Madrid captain celebrated the landmark by scoring his side’s equaliser during their dramatic 4-3 victory over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to UEFA’s records, eight players have scored on their 100th Champions League appearance. They include several of the game’s biggest names, with Robert Lewandowski standing out as the only player on the list to score a hat-trick on the occasion.
The eight players are:
- Kylian Mbappé: Roma vs Real Madrid, October 14, 2026.
- Antoine Griezmann: Sparta Praha 0-6 Atlético Madrid, November 26, 2024.
