A Mexican judge has found three men guilty of the 2024 killings of two Australian brothers and their American friend during a surfing trip to Baja California.

A court source told Reuters on Friday that the defendants were convicted of charges including robbery and aggravated homicide.

Prosecutors had sought prison sentences of up to 150 years for the men. The court is expected to announce their sentences in the coming days.

The three victims were killed while travelling in the northwestern Mexican state, a popular destination for surfers.
