Nigerian-born bodybuilder Samson Dauda has finished second in the Men’s Open division at the 2026 Mr Olympia competition in Las Vegas, United States.
Dauda finished behind American bodybuilder Nick Walker, who claimed his first Mr Olympia title. Derek Lunsford placed third, while Chinedu Andrew Obiekea, popularly known as Andrew Jacked, finished fourth.
The competition took place in Las Vegas from September 24 to 27, with the finals held at the Orleans Arena on Saturday, September 26.
Dauda finished with 20 points, two points behind Walker, who recorded 18 points. In bodybuilding, the lower score determines the final placing.
The result marks another podium finish for Dauda, who won the Mr Olympia title in 2024. He placed fourth in 2025 before returning to the podium this year.
Dauda had entered the 2026 competition after winning the Europa Pro on September 13. He confirmed his runner-up finish in an Instagram post, saying he had come to win but was proud of the physique he presented.
He described his appearance at the competition as the best version of himself and thanked his team for their support throughout his preparation.
Dauda’s latest result further adds to his record at the prestigious bodybuilding competition, having now recorded first, second, third and fourth-place finishes across his Mr Olympia appearances.
Another Nigerian-born bodybuilder, Andrew Jacked, also finished among the top five in this year’s Men’s Open division.
