BREAKING: Fintiri Approves 13 New Projects After Three Days of Executive Council Meetings

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved 13 new projects and programmes following a series of Executive Council meetings held over three consecutive days at the Government House in Yola.

The approvals cover education, healthcare, roads, electricity, drainage, markets and other infrastructure across the state. The Adamawa State Executive Council has also recently approved multi-sector projects and procurements running into billions of naira.

The newly approved projects include:

1. Construction of 11 new hostels across the five tertiary institutions owned by the Adamawa State Government.
2. Rehabilitation of Lamurde Cottage Hospital and staff quarters.
3. Construction of new township roads in Gulak, internal roads at the College of Innovation and Technology, Gulak, and Shuwa Township Roads One and Two.
4. Procurement and installation of solar-powered streetlights along the 21-kilometre Super Highway and at the Malkohi 1,000 Housing Estate.
5. Procurement and installation of modern medical equipment, including an S11+ ultrasound scanner, FibroScan 360 and a modern dialysis machine.
6. Construction of stormwater drainages at Unguwan Magaji in Yola.
7. Construction of road networks and stormwater drainage systems at the Mubi Cattle Market.
8. Construction of internal road networks and stormwater drainage systems at the New Building Materials Market along Numan Road.
9. Rehabilitation of electrical equipment and electricity infrastructure from Uba through Michika to Madagali.
10. Construction of 4-by-1.2 stormwater drainage channels at the new NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Malkohi, Yola South.
11. Extension of electricity supply to Bengo Community in Fufore.
12. Construction of stormwater drainages around the new stadium and extending through Rumde Baru and Jambutu communities.
13. Approval of the memorandum for the supplementary budget.

The projects add to the state government’s ongoing infrastructure and public-service interventions across Adamawa. Recent official procurement records also show electricity and solar streetlight projects being processed by the state government.
