The Lamido of Adamawa has conferred the traditional title of Tafidan Adamawa on Hon. Awwal D. Tukur, Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State, SSG.
The conferment was formally communicated through a delegation from the Adamawa Emirate Council, led by the Madaki Adamawa and the Secretary of the Emirate Council, who delivered the official letter to Hon. Awwal D. Tukur.
The appointment follows the passing of his father, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the late Tafidan Adamawa, who served the Adamawa Emirate, Adamawa State and Nigeria for many years.
The conferment of the title on Awwal D. Tukur continues the family’s legacy of service, leadership and commitment to the people of Adamawa.
Hon. Awwal D. Tukur has been congratulated on his appointment as the new Tafidan Adamawa.
