Fintiri Approves Appointment of Seven District Heads in Madagali

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved the appointment of seven substantive District Heads in the Madagali Chiefdom following recommendations by the traditional council.

The appointments, approved in line with the recommendations of His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ali Danburam, and the Madagali Traditional Council, affect seven districts within the chiefdom.

The newly appointed District Heads are James Irmiya Birdling for Makwan District, Ibrahim Zidko for Wagga District, Lawan Sanuusi Yahya for Bebbel District and Alhaji Shu’aibu Ujulu Gadzamma for Gali District.

Others are Alim Ibrahim Mamse for Hyambula District, retired CSP Iijaidi Kidirijuu for Maiva District and Adamu Jatau Musa for Kirchinga District.

The appointees are expected to attend a meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026, for the formal presentation and collection of their letters of appointment.

Meanwhile, Acting District Heads who have not been confirmed have been directed to prepare their handover notes and formally transfer the affairs of their respective districts on the same date.

The Madagali Traditional Council congratulated the new District Heads and charged them to uphold integrity, fairness and dedication while promoting peace, unity, security and socio economic development within their domains.
