The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Yusuf Buba Yakub, says 564 people have benefited from an empowerment initiative in an Adamawa community aimed at supporting livelihoods and improving economic opportunities.

The programme forms part of grassroots engagement efforts in Adamawa State, bringing together community members and political stakeolders to promote local development.

Yakub, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, has been associated with empowerment activities targeting residents of the area.

An empowerment programme involving residents of Gombi and Hong local government areas was attended by Adamawa APC governorship candidate Ahmed Tijjani Galadima and other party leaders on October 29.

Such initiatives can help beneficiaries access opportunities to strengthen their livelihoods. However, the long-term impact depends on the nature of the assistance provided, the needs of recipients and whether the support translates into sustainable economic activities.

Further details on the 564 beneficiaries, including the specific community involved and the type of assistance received, are needed to provide a fuller account of the program.
