The Nigeria Police Force has raised the alarm over alleged plans by terrorists to attack worship centres, schools and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps across the country.

The warning was issued as security agencies intensified efforts to prevent potential attacks and protect vulnerable public institutions and gathering points.

According to the police, terrorists may target locations where large numbers of people are likely to gather, including churches, mosques, educational institutions and NYSC camps.

The security alert has prompted calls for heightened vigilance among members of the public, school authorities, religious leaders and NYSC officials.

The police urged Nigerians to remain alert and promptly report suspicious movements, persons or activities to the appropriate security agencies.

Authorities also advised managers of schools, worship centres and other public facilities to strengthen their security measures and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to prevent any possible attack.

The police assured citizens that security agencies are monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to safeguard lives and property.

Members of the public were encouraged to avoid spreading unverified information that could cause panic, while remaining vigilant and following official security directives.
