A drone struck a petrol station in Kyiv early Tuesday, injuring one person, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a day after US President Donald Trump said Russia and Ukraine had agreed not to attack each other’s energy infrastructure.

Klitschko said warehouse facilities in another part of the Ukrainian capital were also hit. A Reuters witness reported hearing an explosion in the city.

Ukrainian authorities said Russia had recently expanded its targets in Kyiv to include petrol stations. Around 300 stations have reportedly been attacked in recent months, mainly in or near frontline regions.

Poland briefly activated military aviation as a precaution during the attacks, although its armed forces later said there had been no violation of Polish airspace. Drone incursions into neighbouring countries have raised concerns that the war could spill into NATO territory.

In Lithuania, a NATO fighter jet shot down a drone early Tuesday after an alert was issued in Vilnius and the surrounding region, the Lithuanian National Crisis Management Centre said.

Meanwhile, a Ukrainian missile strike damaged a warehouse belonging to e commerce company Ozon in the Russian port city of Taganrog, regional Governor Vasily Golubev said. A separate drone attack struck an unidentified industrial facility in Russia’s Samara region, which is home to several major oil refineries.

Reuters could not independently verify the reports.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday that Kyiv would support a US proposal for a limited ceasefire covering energy facilities only if Washington could ensure that Moscow was genuinely committed to ending the war.
