Nigerians have criticised President Bola Tinubu over what they described as unfulfilled campaign promises, as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections begin to gather momentum.
Critics accused the administration of making fresh commitments despite concerns over promises they believe have yet to be delivered. They called for greater accountability and urged political leaders to demonstrate measurable results rather than rely on campaign rhetoric.
The renewed debate comes as political parties and their supporters begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 elections, with issues including the economy, cost of living, employment and governance expected to feature prominently.
Supporters of the administration, however, maintain that the government has implemented significant reforms and that some of its policies require time to produce their intended results.
