The Federal Government has expressed concern over the difficulties Nigerians in the United Kingdom face when applying for and processing their international passports.

The government said it was concerned about the challenges experienced by Nigerians seeking to obtain or renew their passports, noting that efficient passport services remain important to citizens living abroad.

The development has prompted renewed attention to the passport application and processing system in the UK, with the government expected to explore measures to make the process easier, faster and more accessible for Nigerians in the country.

The move is also aimed at improving consular services and ensuring that Nigerians in the diaspora can access essential government documents without unnecessary delays or difficulties.
