Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Odinaka, is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, over an alleged assault offence.
According to Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of a Nigerian community organisation in the United Kingdom, Poco Lee is currently being held on remand in the UK and is scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. for a plea hearing.
The development follows reports that began circulating on social media on August 19 concerning the dancer’s alleged detention in Britain. A publicly available court listing has also reportedly identified a case involving Iweh Odinaka at Snaresbrook Crown Court, although the specific offence is not disclosed in the listing and reporting restrictions apply.
Details surrounding the allegation remain limited, and authorities have not publicly released comprehensive information about the case. As a result, the allegation should not be treated as a proven offence.
Poco Lee’s September court appearance is expected to provide further information about the proceedings. Until then, the case remains subject to the UK legal process, and the entertainer is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court.
